Ed Littman was born in New York City and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, the youngest of three children. Both parents are professional artists and opened Ed up to a world of creativity at a young age. Early on, Ed had been exposed to classical music, and at the age of 12, Ed heard Elvis Presley and fell in love with the Rock and Roll beat. Soon after, his parents Wally & Rosemary bought him his first album, The Beatles, “Revolver” which started an infatuation with that group and led to exposure to such artists as Chicago, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix.

For the last several years, Luke Schaffel’s drumming with various groups has been earning a lot of recognition. Whether it is from winning numerous awards and scholarships as a jazz musician or being recognized by the press with his rock band The Clocktown Giants, the powerful and precise style of Luke’s playing is starting to catch everyone’s ear.
Starting his musical study at age 10, Luke’s early love for rock bands like Van Halen, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and Steely Dan quickly made him realize that the drums were for him. After a few years of an exclusive concentration on rock and roll, Luke joined the Jazz Band at his high school at age 14. He quickly fell in love with that as well, and started to focus on studying the playing of the great jazz drummers such as “Philly” Joe Jones, Tony Williams, Steve Gadd, Elvin Jones, and many others. Having graduated with a jazz studies program from Montclair State University, Luke later went on to graduate from NYU Steinhardt with a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance. There he studied and played with some of the most recognizable names in modern music. Including John Scofield, Lenny White, Lenny Pickett, Mike Richmond, Billy Drummond, Alan Ferber, Tony Moreno, and more.
