Meet Our Teachers

Ms. Andrea

 

Ms. Andrea is originally from Europe, Hungary. Her interest in art started at a young age, when her father gifted her with her first camera at age 9. She has been taking pictures since then. She attended an art school in Hungary where she became a professional photographer. She attended NJCU and received her bachelor's degree in Art History with a concentration in gallery management. Later she went back to get her art teacher certificate that deepened her knowledge in painting and drawing and received credential to teach art K-12. 

Her passion for education started after taking art classes at NJCU. She has taught art in an after-school setting with Young Rembrandt in Jersey for Pre K- 5th grade students. In the summer of 2015, she ran a summer art program in East Rutherford at Park Academy. She created an art program for individuals with various disabilities and special need at The Arc of Union County in Springfield NJ. She is a certified graphic designer and currently taking online courses at EducationCloset. 

She strives to align her passion and knowledge of art with each student as well as incorporating the National Visual Arts Standards and the New Jersey State Art Standards. She likes to expose the students to a variety of different materials and introduce them to the artwork of artists from all around the world and throughout history. 

Ms. Cathy

Ms. Cathy is our private vocal instructor here at ACACNJ. She is an established spinto soprano from Basking Ridge, New Jersey. She graduated from Moravian College, class of 2017, with a Bachelors of Music Performance. In her time there she learned the different teaching styles for both individual singing lessons, as well as full classrooms. Catherine has performed in both group ensembles, and solo performances. She was a featured soloist while participating in the Moravian College Mixed Choir, Moravian College Women's Choir, Opera Ensemble, and Salon Ensemble during her time at Moravian. She also was a part of the exclusive Allentown Symphony Choir for the performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Her solo performances include singing for National First Responders Day, September 11th memorials, and her own recital for the Farmstead Arts Center Young Professionals Concert Series. Her range of singing includes classical, musical theater, jazz, and rock. 

Ms. Danielle

 Danielle grew up with a desire to move and explore her body's capabilities. She recalls flipping back and forth on her parent's mattress. Danielle is a certified 200 hour yoga teacher. She is inspired by yoga and truly loves to teach others. Her practice is dynamic and playful, her classes, challenging yet accessible. "My motivation to teach yoga comes a place that aims to inspire students to learn, grow and love...to understand their personal work while remaining true to themselves". Danielle's teaching style focuses on balance, flexibility, and strength while including elements of dance and acrobatics. Danielle believes that movement with breath and awareness has the capacity to create the space where individuals are free to discover what they are made of and explore within that framework. She is continually inspired by her students and loves being surrounded by their energy and desire to learn. 

Ms. Kaitlin

Meet Ms. Zulma, a  Certified Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba toning and Zumba kids Instructor.
Certified Personal Trainer.

Ms. Zulma has  teaching Zumba for over 8 years.  She always motivate people to reach their fitness goals, listen to their bodies and to love themselves. 

Ms. Nancy

Ms. Nancy

Ms. Nancy is a visual artist born and raised in central New Jersey. After studying sculpture at West Virginia University and  Education at Raritan Valley Community College, Nancy found her identity as an artist working with plaster, metal, and acrylic paint. She commonly focuses on faces and personas as her work's subject. Nancy is very excited to share her knowledge with young students who also have a passion for various visual arts! Ms. Vicki

Ms. Vicki is currently studying at William Paterson University with a double major in Fine Arts and East Asian Studies, and has experience in a wide variety of media and techniques. She has been teaching art locally for the past 6 years, and has a passion for making art education fun and accessible. She believes that creating art is empowering for adults and children alike, and has developed many strategies for facilitating art. Vicki especially enjoys drawing the human form in pencil and charcoal. In her downtime, she’s also an avid fiber artist, jewelry designer, writer,  and gamer.
